Kristine holds a graduate degree in Library and Information Science (LIS) and is currently working on her PhD in Communication. Since 2004 Kristine has a lecturer position at the LIS program in the University of Latvia. Teaching experience includes courses for bachelor and master students on topics related to the legal background of library and information work. In 2006 Kristine as the project manager joined the team of Culture Information Systems Centre that is responsible for development of archives, libraries and museums in the country and implements IT, training and public access programs to enable free and equitable access to cultural heritage in Latvia. Since 2007 Kristine’s responsibilities in the Centre relates not only to the project managing but also to impact planning, assessment and sustainability of public library development project “Father’s Third Son”.
