The first two days of conference will take place at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania (Gedimino pr. 51, Vilnius).

Getting to Vilnius City Centre

A) BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Airport – City Center Buses:

  • 88 – Airport – Centre – Europa Square;
  • 1– Airport – Viking St. – Station;
  • 2– Airport– Viking St. – Liepkalnio g. – Station;
  • 3G (express) – Airport – Centre – Fabijoniškės;

Ticket prices:

  • 30 min. ticket – EUR 1
  • 60 min. ticket – EUR 1,25
  • 1-day ticket – EUR 7,50
  • 3-day ticket – EUR 13,50

Purchasing tickets:

  • Trafi App (download herefor Android, here for iOS). The app offers real-time public transport information, ticket purchasing, and live directions.
  • Tap and Go – simply tap your card or smart device (phone, watch) on the terminal in the bus to purchase a one-hour ticket. If a ticket inspector boards, you’ll need to tap the same card or device on their reader to confirm your ticket. Please note: one card or device can only be used for one ticket. If you’re traveling with others, each person must use a separate card or device.

B) BY A SPECIAL TRAIN 

There is a special train running regularly from Vilnius airport to the central railway station.

The ticket costs EUR 0,80. It can be purchased at the ticket machine, in the train, online and at the railway station.

Next to the airport passenger terminal, there is a railway stop, stairs and an elevator for passengers as well as lighting and passenger safety surveillance camera. There is a footway leading from the railway stop to the airport terminal for passengers; the footway has an installed gallery (it is illuminated during the dark time of the day).

🌦 Weather: In October, Lithuania experiences cool and crisp autumn weather, with average daytime temperatures around 7–11°C (45–52°F) and nighttime temperatures dipping to 3–5°C (37–40°F). You can expect cloudy skies, light rain or drizzle, and a chance of moderate rainfall, so an umbrella and rain jacket are recommended. Layered clothing and comfortable shoes are recommended for walking tours and evening events.
