Jolanta Budriūnienė (Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania)
The Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania is a memory institution that preserves the national documentary heritage. A valuable part of it consists of content created in the Lithuanian diaspora. The presentation focuses on activities developed by the National Library related to the formation of historical content of the Lithuanian diaspora, research and the spectrum of service development. It also provides an overview of cooperation with the Lithuanian diaspora today. The demand of the Lithuanian communities living abroad today for cultural knowledge and education is highlighted as well as the National Library’s involvement in these activities.
