Janet Zmroczek

Janet Zmroczek is Head of European Studies at the British Library where she was previously Head of Slavonic and East European Collections and Curator of Polish and Baltic Collections. She plays a lead role in the British Library/Google Books Digitisation Project. She coordinates a European Projects Community of Practice Group at the British Library and represents the British Library at meetings of The European Library and the Europeana Network. She has organised a number of seminars, public events and conference panels in the field of European literature and literary translation. Her own research is on Polish exiles and the world of books in 19th century Britain.
