Today, 42 percent of the world’s population uses social networks on a daily basis. As many as 60 percent of people see them as their main source of knowledge and news, and 90 percent of millennials log into their social accounts every day.
82 percent of advertising budgets go to social media, where virtually every business presents and promotes itself. While many museums have social media accounts, few are exploiting the full potential and free opportunities to reach a broad, curious audience.
Social media is a great, often free, tool that allows your institution to achieve its goals: sharing a passion for art, history, science. It is a dynamic and easily adaptable platform that not only enriches the message sent by the museum, but also, by choosing the right voice and tone, can become a strong representative space and advertising channel for your museum, library or archive.
