Vito Saracino is a historian and researcher at the University of Foggia and Apulian Gramsci Foundation. His work focuses on the cultural and educational relations between Italy and Albania, as well as on broader themes in transnational history, public memory, and the social role of institutions in post-socialist transitions. He has published with Palgrave Macmillan A Century of the media A Century of the Media in Italian-Albanian Cultural Relationships (2024) History of Schooling in Albania (2026) and Taylor & Francis on related topics, combining archival research with the study of cultural diplomacy, educational change, and Adriatic connections. His current research explores the long-term impact of Italian cultural policy in Albania and the role of language, schools, and universities in shaping post-totalitarian transformations.
