Every phenomenon in modern sociocultural environment has its own narrative (narratives). In modern media, narratives act as a new way of consuming information; in other words, we construct our own narrative about phenomena, events, and personalities using media as a resource, as well as social media information. Narrative is studied from various angles: social, historical, literary, anthropological, and that of power. The linguistic expression also takes part in these processes: vocabulary, semantic constructions, tropes, and stylistic techniques are used. The presentation reveals the linguistic narratives of Vilnius in the media and social media in 2022-2023.
